Sharaka and Chess4All are proud to host the Chess4Solidary Chess Tournament on International Peace Day

International Peace Day Chess Tournament

In order to promote solidarity we decided to organize the Chess4Solidarity event in order to celebrate the International Peace Day!

Opening Ceremony: 19:45 (GMT +3)

Length of the tournament: One hour and three quarters, 20:15 – 22:00 .

Closing Ceremony: will start immediately after the last round is finished.  

The event is open for all and participation is free of charge!

The tournament will be divided to three categories:

Category A: for players with lichess blitz rating 2100+

Category B: for players with lichess blitz rating 1600-2100

Category C: for players with lichess blitz rating lower than 1600

Steps to participate in the tournament:

  1. Login to lichess.org – each player should play at least 10 rated blitz players to get a stable rating.

     

  2. Each participant must be a part of the tournament team:

Rules:

Every player must be in the opening ceremony

Every player must play while being in the zoom, and he acknowledge that the arbiter can ask him to share his screen.

Every player must open his camera, if he doesn’t, he can’t win any prizes.

No player can use a virtual background. 

No player can appeal the pairing of the tournament nor the tie breaks because they are done by the site.

No player can share the password of the tournament in the tournament chat. 

Every player must write his real name (and his title if exists) in his Lichess profile, also he must write his username in the zoom.

Players who join a category with a rating that does not reflect their real level will not be awarded any prizes.

No player can win more than one prize.

The prizes will be awarded after the arbiters will do a fair play test.

To claim any prize, you must be in both ceremonies.

Prizes will be transferred in 2 weeks through bank transfers or PayPal.
